GetPocket is an online read it later application to save any webpage for offline viewing later whenever you get a free time. The concept is similar to putting stuff in pocket for using later and same applies here. You can save webpages over cloud, sync on device and access them later even when not connected to the internet.

This read it later application is supported over all major web browsers, iPhone/iPad, Kindle Fire, Blackberry, Android, and more.

You can install GetPocket extension for your browser and get started in minutes after registering a free account on GetPocket.

The bookmark button and the extension are the two ways for using GetPocket on browser. It must be noted that the bookmark button is just about adding the webpages to reading queue. On the other hand the browser extension offers more flexibility and options. You cannot save webpage for offline viewing just by using the bookmark button.

After installing the extension, you'll be asked to login. Now you are all set to begin bookmarking and saving pages to read offline. I tested it on Mozilla Firefox and GetPocket performed as per its claims.

To add a page in your reading list click on the button adjacent to address bar. You can add as many pages as per your requirement.
On clicking the corner button, a small panel will be shown with list of webpages you added earlier. Now, click on circular sync button at top to update your online list.
Next, you will need to click on ‘Go offline‘ button (downward arrow) followed by a click on download button to save webpages for offline viewing.

To test the application I disconnected internet connection for a while and opened the webpages. Amazingly, they loaded without any problem.

* One must know that this read it later application stores the current version of the webpage. It cannot display the updated version of webpage being viewed. Also, any attempt to open link will end up on server not found pages if not connected to internet.

The Final Verdict:

hbSort is a free sort program that you can use to sort data in text files. It's a simple and lightweight application that simply sorts any data present in the form of plain text files. You can sort data either by copy pasting it on the program's sort area or by opening the text file which contains the data to be sorted. It sorts the data within fraction of seconds and displays the results immediately. You can save the sorted data in text files, anywhere on your computer.

The program is written in HotBasic, which is a fully-featured software development environment and compiler based on the classic BASIC language. It has a simple interface with minimal options listed on the top panel. These options let's you set the conditions for sorting data. You can sort data either in ascending or descending order, allows considering case of text during the sort, or sort data either by column or delimiter.

Apart from that, it also let’s you to allow or remove duplicates in the sorted data. However, the program is kind of buggy, and does not provides appropriate results.

Sort Data using hbSort:

To sort data using hbSort, launch the app and open the text file that contains the data to be sorted. Then set different options from the top panel to provide parameters on the basis of which your data will be sorted. Let's have a quick look on all the options, one by one.

The Duplicates option: This option let's you allow or remove the duplicate text in the sorted data. The source file may contain repetitive data such as duplicate names or numbers. You can either choose to remove or keep these duplicates in your sorted file.
The Case option: This option allows considering case of text during the sort. You can choose this option to separately sort the lower case and upper case data.
The Sort by option: Here you can choose whether you want to sort the data column wise, or use a given delimiter character to sort the data. You can select up to 99 columns during the sort.
The Sort Ascending option: Here you can choose whether you want to sort the data in ascending order or descending order.

You can set the above mentioned options as per your wish and finally press the "Sort Now" button to sort the data according to the given parameters.

I have tested the software with some random data and I would like to mention here that it did not give efficient results.

What I really found interesting is its beautiful column-based tiles interface. As you open the cookbook app for Windows 8, the main screen will get opened where you will see the name of all the categories at the extreme left, then a 'Today's Special' column, and then two other columns: 'Favorite Recipes' and 'TrySoon' where you can add a number of favorite and yet to be tried food items, respectively.

As you open a recipe, you will see four different columns: first one includes an image of the opened dish along with the total time it requires to cook & number of people it yields, the second column contains the main ingredients required, the third one tells you the directions of cooking, and the last one brings you the reviews of people. You need to scroll towards the right (using mouse wheel or horizontal scroll bar) to view all the columns.

Another beautiful thing I just noticed is the design of the line that has been used to separate the columns. Forks and Knives have been used in a beautiful way, matching the CookBook app perfectly.

Now, to add a recipe to TrySoon, just open the recipe → right click anywhere on the screen to open the horizontal bar at the bottom → here, in the bar, you will find options to 'Add To Favorites' and 'Add To TrySoon'. To share a recipe with others, just open the recipe → press 'Win+C' to open the Charms Bar → click on 'Share' button → now just select a channel through which you want to share. Its done.
