The Football Playbook is a football tactics game that is available for free download on your PC. Plan the game and guide the ball from goalkeeper to striker.

Football (Soccer) is a famous sport game (I'm a fan of football game myself). In this PC Game you will be provided a snapshot of the game and you have to solve the tactical puzzle to make a goal. This game is available for Windows PC and the download size is just 10 MB.

About This Football Tactics Game:

This football tactics game looks like a comic style game; but it isn't as easy as it sounds. You have to plan the whole play like a football team manager. In this game you have to defend your team, kick the ball, divert the opposite team players, and make a goal.

This football tactics game has 42 levels to compete with the computer. There is a tutorial and demo game for practice. From chapter one you have to start playing from first level and complete it to unlock the next level. Whenever you win a lower level, the next level will be unlocked and so on. There are six levels in each chapter.

The whole game operates with mouse clicks only. Anybody would get confused on what to do if you are new to this game. There is no good description of gameplay in "How to play" section also. I spent a few minutes and tried playing a few levels and then finally became an expert. Below I have mentioned a few tips on how to play this game.

How To Play:

All the white circles are your team players and black colored circles are opposite team players. The opposite team players are controlled by computer. So, your task is to avoid the computer players and make a goal. If any of the computer player intercepts you from reaching the ball, then you have to start all over again.

When you start a level, a photosnap of the players position will be shown in white background. Then you have to click the cross mark on the top right to start the game, then the whole back ground and the icons will transform into different colors as shown in below screenshot.

Unfortunately you can't make your players move; they just stand still and only computer players move. Although there are some players who move.

The players who has a dotted arrow path along them move themselves when they get the ball.

There are some players who need to be activated by a mouse click. Click on the cement colored circle to move them to that point. These players can be used to divert others or to handle the ball.

Only the center part is the football field and players in it. The rest of the screen shows the football fans expression or encouragement by the crowd when you hit a goal or your manager expressions etc. The sound effects are also related on how you play the game. Weather is a free Windows 8 weather app pre-installed on your Windows 8 system placed in the start menu screen. This weather app for Windows 8 lets you track weather reports of all the countries around the world including your current location.

The weather Windows 8 app keeps you informed about the current temperature of a specific city, weather throughout the year, hourly forecast of the day, along with a 'Refresh' button.

It's a very useful weather app where you can easily get all the weather details, right on your system, without switching on News on that so-called idiot box or the browser.

You can change the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice-versa. Also, there is an option to pin to start a particular location's weather reports, or add to 'Favorite Places' category. The weather app for Windows 8 lets you 'Set as Default' a specific location's weather reports.

What I Liked About This Windows 8 Weather App:

What I really liked about Weather app is its beautiful column-based interface. As you open the app, you will find a screen where you can see a city's current weather reports including Wind, Visibility, Humidity, Barometer, etc. To view more details, you need to scroll towards the right, using the horizontal bar or the mouse wheel. As you start scrolling, you will find 'Hourly Forecast' that lets you check each hour's weather forecast of the entire day. Next come is the 'Maps' section that brings you short videos playing the National Temperature, National Precipitation, National Cloud Cover, and National Satellite. Make sure that the Map takes the country according the city you have selected.

The next column is the 'Historical Weather' that shows the weather throughout the year, in a Bar graph form that makes it easier for the users to understand the fluctuations that happen in the sky throughout the year.

Now, the interesting part here are the parts in which weather has been divided. Yep.. if you see just below the graph, you will find three different icons for Temperature, Rainfall, and Sunshine. You can click on these to get the yearly details. At the right side of the graph, you will find current month's weather report including Average High, Average Low, Record High, Record Low, Rainfall, Sunshine, etc.

Another thing which I really liked about this Windows 8 weather app is the live tile feature. The live tile keeps on updating the weather summary of a specific location, provided that you have pinned that location to the start screen..

How To Track Weather Reports Of Multiple Locations:

This Windows 8 weather app lets you add desired places to your favorites. This shows the temperate of all the added places simultaneously, in tiles form. In order to add a city, just right-click anywhere on the screen → a horizontal panel will open both at the top and the bottom of the screen → click on 'Places' given inside the top horizontal panel → this will take you to the screen where you can add a number of places → here on this screen, click on the big '+' button → enter the name of the city → click on 'Add' button else click on 'Close' button to search for area closed to the entered place. You are done.. if you see the 'Favorite Places' section you will find the city added there along with showing the current temperature.

To view world weather details, just click on the 'World' option given inside the same top horizontal panel. As you click, it will bring you a beautiful world map highlighting the current temperature of various cities. If you want to know a the temperature of a specific continent, just click on the continent and you will see the temperature of all the counties included in that continent. Similarly, you can look for other places, as well.

How To Remove A Location From Favorites Column:

In order to remove a place from the favorites, just head over to the 'Favorites' column → select the place you want to remove by clicking right over it → click on 'Remove' option given inside the horizontal bar appeared at the bottom. Its done.

What I did not like in Windows 8 Weather App:

The only thing that disappointed me here in this weather app is the lack of sharing option.. yep, you can not share the weather details with others. Rest everything I found was very interesting. It’s very handy, very easy to access, shows you future temperature, hourly temperature, yearly temperature, just everything.

JGraphite is a free software to convert photos into black and white images. It's a simple and easy to use software that converts color photos into different shades of grey. It has the minimal set of options which you can use to quickly convert colorful images into black and white.

JGraphite is basically an image editor that let's you apply various image filters and tone curve presets to quickly adjust image levels in few mouse clicks. You can save the image to JPG format and adjust the output JPG quality of the image.

Apart from that, you can also see a full screen preview of the image before saving it finally to your computer.

Getting Started with JGraphite:

JGraphite is a standalone application that doesn't need to be installed on your computer. You can download the setup file and double click on the executable to directly run the application. It's very lightweight: just 75 KB in size, and doesn’t take much of your system resources.

Convert Photos into Gray Scale using JGraphite:

To convert photos using JGraphite, you need to open an image file first. You can open an image from the file menu option or simply drag and drop it to the program's interface. To process an image, click on the checkbox at the top left corner.

Then you can try out various image filters from the conversion type dropdown and select the desired one. You can also apply various tone curves to adjust the contrast of the image. JGraphite also provides two sliding bars to adjust picture's brightness levels and to apply vignetting effects to the image. Vignetting is basically a photographic effect that results when the light reaches more to the center than the edges of the image. The Final Verdict:

WeatherSpark is a good online weather forecasting website with some really advance features. It must be noted that WeatherSpark is in beta stage and few more tools to know global warming status and monsoon status are likely to be included soon. The overall impression of website was good and I have no issues in recommending it.
