Hamilton Batal Jadi Saksi Sutil

MUNICH – Pembalap McLaren, Lewis Hamilton, menyatakan tidak dapat menjadi saksi bagi Sutil kepada Pengadilan Jerman.

Perkara Sutil akan dimulai pada tanggal 30-31 Januari 2012. Hamilton tidak dapat ikut karena pada tanggal 1 Februari 2012, Hamilton telah berkomitmen akan menghadiri launching mobil terbaru McLaren di Inggris.

Seperti diberitakan sebelumnya, Sutil memang dituduh telah melukai seorang eksekutif Lotus bernama Eric Lux pada sebuah klub malam di China, April lalu. Saat itu, Hamilton keluar sebagai pemenang Formula One (F1) GP China.

Sebelumnya, diberitakan oleh seorang juru bicara pengadilan di Munich, Hamilton akan menjadi saksi pada persidangan hari pertama yang berlangsung 30 Januari. Sebenarnya, Hamilton sendiri sudah menyanggupi permintaan itu.

Namun, Hamilton sepertinya membatalkan permintaan pihak pengadilan untuk menjadi saksi. Menurut pemberitaan Telegraph, Selasa (24/1/2012), Hamilton tidak pernah menerima permintaan untuk menjadi saksi. Mungkin, ini yang membuatnya membatalkan jadi saksi.

Hingga kini, belum ada pernyataan resmi dari pengacara atau Hamilton sendiri mengenai hal ini. Jika memang demikian, pihak pengadilan sendiri belum bisa memastikan apakah akan melanjutkan persidangan tanpa Hamilton atau menyiapkan tanggal baru.

“Dari pertama kali menggeber mobil, dia tampil maksimal. Memang sulit untuk mengetahui di mana dia seharusnya berada, tapi kecepatannya cukup terjaga pada tes pertama. Dia tidak menemukan kecepatan yang cukup sepanjang tes,” kata Permane.

“Saya tidak melihat ada alasan kenapa Kimi tidak menemukan kecepatannya lagi. Anda bisa mengatakan dia adalah pembalap yang berpengalaman. Sudah jelas kita bekerja dengan seorang mantan juara dunia,” tegasnya.

Pada awal berkarier di F1, Kimi terkenal seorang pembalap yang kurang berkominikatif dengan timnya. Namun, Permane mengaku tidak mengerti dengan reputasi Kimi tersebut. Sebab, hingga kini, komunikasi antara Kimi dengan tim berjalan lancar.

“Kimi sangat normal. Dia sangat senang untuk duduk dan berbicara mengenai mobil selama mungkin. Dia sangat terbuka. Mungkin, Kimi punya dua muka dan satu untuk media,” tandasnya dilansir Autosport, Selasa (24/1/2012).
