Desk & Archive is a free desktop manager which helps you in managing your documents and folders in such a way that you don't have a hard time working with them! Often, you might procrastinate your work and save it on your desktop and might forget to wind it up the next day as well. Or you find your desktop too messed up and hard to organize! Bookmarking your frequently used files

App Launcher to Start Applications at a Predetermined Time: Runlator

Runlator is a free app launcher which allows you to open a specific application at a predetermined time. It comes in handy while you wish to open programs at a specific time such as a music player to play your favorite songs after working for some time. You may even surprise your loved ones who might be using the system at a specific time by enabling a program to popup while they are carrying out their work.

Installing Runlator

Installation process is pretty simple where in you just need to visit the developer's site and scroll down to the software download option. The page has lots of software so you need to search a bit for this particular software. The place where the software is listed has been shown below in the screenshot. Further upon installation you just need to unzip the downloaded zip file and launch the program. Using this app launcher

After you launch the program a window pops up where it asks you to enter a few details of the program you wish to launch at a specific time. The top bar has the option to paste the address of the program which you wish to run. Below it you have the option to set the date and time when you wish this program to start on its own. Then ''Use a Remembered address" presents you with the option of the already scheduled programs which you may have done before. And finally you just need to click on the ''Ok'' button at the bottom to set the program to be run.

Make sure you insert the exact address of the program you wish to run. For instance in the screenshot below we run a Media Player known as MediaMonkey at the specified time in the screenshot. One needs to browse to the actual address where the program is installed and copy and paste the address of the specific location. Further as the program is a ''.exe.'' file we need to type in the exact name i.e. ''MediaMonkey.exe'' at the end of the address entered.

Change Windows 7 Theme to Classic Look: Classic Shell

Classic Shell is a free utility which will change the way that your Windows 7 theme and as of Classic Shell version 3.5.0 even Windows 8 interface looks like by changing the system style to a more classic look. Classic Shell can be classified as a free theming software for Window 7 and Window 8 which will restore some of the Window XP style in the previously mentioned newer versions of the most popular operating system in the world.

What you see above is how your Windows 7 Start Menu can look like if you decide to install Classic Shell and play around a bit with options that it has to offer. For those who are not noticing anything different, we’ve changed the way that Start Menu shows entries, instead of the old self collapsing menus, which aren’t really practical, we changed them to what you can see above. This is the classic way of going through the Start Menu, where we have pop up side menus, but Start Menus are not the only thing that Classic Shell can change, it can also restore classic:

Other themes are also available, so it’s not necessary for you to only change the looks of your Windows 7 or Windows 8 to a classic style, you can also switch to other, different types of styles.

You don’t have to do anything after installing Classic Shell, the Start Menu will be changed automatically to the one that you can see on the screenshot above. What you can do is change the style, open up the Start Menu entry of Classic Shell, and once you’re there, locate the Settings for Classic Start Menu, clicking on that will present you with the following screen:

Here you can see that you can even change which Start Menu shows itself to you depending on how it is opened. There’s an option for left mouse click to open the Classic Menu and Shift + left mouse click opens the Window 7 type menu. At the top there’s a tab called Skin, which is even more interesting, there you choose what kind of skin is used, you can select between:

On the right you can even see some useful additional icons which you reach for frequently, for example Copy, Cut and Paste.
