How To Add Contacts To Favorites On Android

Here, is a step by step tutorial to add contacts to favorites on Android phone. Android provides an interesting feature of “Favorites” in which you can add any of your contacts. Then you can access those contacts easily, without a need to go through your complete address book. However, Android doesn’t makes it very simple to add any contact to Favorite. So, I thought I would write a post that explains how can you use the “Favorite” feature of Android, and add contacts to favorites on Android.

Steps To Add Contacts To favorites On Android Phone:

Step 1: Login to Google Play Store on your Android phone.

Step 2: Install Go Launcher EX app from Google Play Store on your Android phone.

Step 3: Apply Go Launcher EX app on your Android phone.

Step 4: Install Go Contacts app from Google Play Store on your Android phone.

Step 5: Launch the app on your Android phone to make some changes.

Step 6: Tap on the "favorites" tab in Go Contacts app.

Step 7: You will see an "add" button with favorites tab of Go Contacts app. Tap on the add button to add contacts to favorites.

Step 8: Select your favorite contacts which you use the most and then tap on "ok" button.

Step 9: Now you can see all you favorite contacts together in the app on your Android phone.

Step 10: Long press on your Android screen to add "Go Contacts" shortcut on your Android home screen.

Step 11: Tap on "Go Contacts" icon on your Android home screen and tap on favorites to access all your favorite contacts all together.

If you don't want to add any home screen shortcut, then you can also tap on default dialer icon and then "Go Dialer" to access your favorite contacts directly from Go Contacts app.

For Samsung Android Phone Users, Below Are The Steps To Add Contacts To Favorites On Their Android Phone:

Step 1: Open your phonebook on your Android phone.

Step 2: Select a contact which you want to add as your favorite contact.

Step 3: Long press on the contact to explore contact options.

Step 4: Tap on "Add to favorites" option from the list of available options.

Step 5: Go back and open your phone's dialer.

Step 6: Now in the favorites option, you will see all your contacts added as your favorite contacts with yellow colored star.

Photo Effects App for Android Free

Photo Effects is your run of the mill "Photo effect" app. It is a free app, but you know what? We live in a post Instagram world where every other so-called "free" photo effect app looks like an enlightened retro toy camera. The Photo Effects app lets you play around with your pictures a bit with around 20 different effects. The question is are these effects any good?

Well the answer is no, they aren’t good, in fact when it boils down to it the effects are pretty damn bad. They Layout of the app isn’t half bad, but the best I can say for it is that its minimalistic, which is usually good for mobile apps but it seems to be missing something. Now what could that missing something be? *hmmm* Oh I don't know ,everything! The app is literally bare bone! it’s just a grid of effects arranged in three weirdly named categories i.e. Fun effects, Color effects and Adventure (I’m still wondering how an effect can be adventurous!). Talking of weird names there’s an effect in the color effects category called Big Brother, *coughs* which is basically an over exposed gray-scale effect.

When we think of a photo editor, we consider how we would edit our photos. Well what this app does is that it slaps an effect over a picture giving you no control over it whatsoever. You can share your horrifying creations on this to Facebook via the app, not a plus in my eyes. Oh and another thing it has Ads *argh*.

What I like About the App

Minimalistic Layout (a little too minimalistic)

Its free (if it wasn't i’d shoot myself!)

What I Don't like About the App

The name of the app
The apps icon (it creeps me out)
Lame effects
Weird names (look and my ramble above if you want to see what I mean)
No control over the effects

So Basically everything about it!

Conclusion

DON'T INSTALL IT. There’s a thousand better free Photo editing apps, in fact here’s a list:

Adobe Photoshop Express
Photo Art – Colour Effects
Color Touch Effects (minimalism at its best)
QuickPic

Use any one of these and I say it again don't install Photo Effects. Looking at apps like this makes me think apples strict control over their app market is justified.
