Recover Deleted Files and Partitions with Erassos Recovery Posted: 29 May 2012 02:00 PM PDT Eassos Recovery is a program that you can use to recover deleted files, but not just files, you can recover entire partitions with this data recovery software. Those who have played around with partitioning, for example when testing a new operating system, have probably at some point found themselves losing important data or even entire partitions. In such situations you can use Eassos Recovery in order to restore the data which you’ve lost. What you see on the image above is the main window which waits for you after completing the installation and running the program. As you can see the program has a very simple design and the main data recovery options can be seen right away. You’ll also notice at the bottom of the window that there’s a message to upgrade to full version and the amount of data recovered with limitation set to 1024MB or in other words 1GB. Free version of Eassos Recovery is limited this way, and if you need to recover more, you’re gonna have to upgrade. What kind of recovery options does Eassos Data Recovery has? There are 4 different types of data recovery that Eassos Recovery offers:
Choose the one that you need. The first one would be when you are not sure from where the files were deleted, second when you delete partitions, third when you are dealing with drives which are not partitioned, and the fourth when you know that files were deleted from the Recycle Bin. Recovering files with Erassos RecoveryTo recover files with Erassos you’re gonna have to go through a simple 5 step wizard. In this presentation we’ve deleted the following files from the Recycle Bin: Since these files were deleted form the Recycle Bin we’re gonna select the last mode of recovery, the first step is choosing the partition from which the files were deleted: On the right lower corner you can choose file types that you want to search for, if you’re only looking for pictures, selecting pictures only will decrease the time necessary to search for the files. Step 2 would be the actual scan where Erassos is creating the list of files that can be recovered. After the scan is finished you’ll be presented with a window where you can choose which files to recover: As you can see, Erassos is suffering from the same problems that Wise Data Recovery suffered, and that is that there are no original file names, that can be problematic. To recover files simply mark the ones that you’re interested in and click on next. You’ll be prompted for the target folder where to save the files and you will have them. ConclusionThe fact that recovery file list doesn’t contain names is a bit of a drawback, but since this program offers so many options for recovery, we will let that one slide. There’s file preview which should help you identify files more easily. Remember that after 1GB of recovered files you’re gonna have to pay. Download Erassos Recovery software free. Related posts:

Free Digital Diary Software for Windows: iDailyDiary Posted: 29 May 2012 11:00 AM PDT iDailyDiary is a free diary software that allows you to keep a daily journal. It is available in two versions, the free version and the improved professional version with additional features which can be tried for 30 days but attracts a fee of $30 thereafter. Keeping a diary is still very important for many people. With technology changing literally every aspect of our daily life, blogs and social networks are becoming a common way for people to relay their thoughts. For those still on keeping the traditional charm of a diary, digital diaries are the way to go. iDailyDiary is one application that provides the facilities of a physical diary on your computer and for free. Features of this diary software
How to use this diary softwareOn launching the application for the first time, it prompts you to begin configuration. While a password is optional, it is mandatory that you choose a diary name. When the application opens for the first time, it opens a help page with detailed instructions on how to use the diary. The user interface is much like any typical interface and you could mistake it for a word processor. It is very well arranged and all icons have corresponding tooltips making it easy to use. The writing area looks like a real book held together by spiral binding. Below the toolbars is a blue triangular calendar bar showing the date in long date format and the current page. Beside it are the previous and next controls for toggling between days and pages respectively. Below the writing area is the calendar which can be used to toggle between days. The current day is marked in red and weekends are marked in grey. To add an entry, launch the software, select your preferred data and start typing. Editing tools are more like those found on a basic word processor. Text can be formatted using a number of tools like fonts, indents, superscripts and subscripts, text alignment, bullets, bold and italics, line spacers and paragraph markers. OpinionThe user interface is aesthetically correct. The look and feel used breaks the monotony you find on each and every windows program. Encryption and password protection mean that your data is very secure. The detailed instructions appearing on first time execution were very helpful. I hated that tools like the thesaurus and the spell checker are only available on the professional version but I think I can make do without these. Support for images and hyperlinks is big plus. The HTML export feature is very clever. VerdictiDailyDiary is surely the best free digital diary you will find around. No related posts. Free Image Editor that is Powerful, yet Small: ZoomFX Posted: 29 May 2012 06:30 AM PDT ZoomFX is a free image editor tool which you can use to manipulate images in several different ways. It’s the perfect tool for everyone who’s interested in making changes to pictures without having to go through complicated menus and dealing with a lot of options, that similar image editors usually have. Photographs made with cameras need corrections sometimes, and you do that with ZoomFX very easily. Default window of ZoomFX reveals all the image editing options that this tool has to offer. The list is pretty big, and there’s something for everyone in it. The thing that’s important to know is which file to download from the programs website in order for the program to run. The download link which is present on the main page of the ZoomFX sourceforge project page are source files which have to be compiled before use. Visit the download page and there you should see Windows installer, where you have .exe file that will start the program right away. What kind of features does this free image editor have?Like it was mentioned before, ZoomFX comes with a lot of image manipulation options and best part is that they are very simple to use. A short list of some of the things that ZoomFx does would be this:
And many, many more. What each one of these does is pretty much self explanatory. Adding text can be used in order to add watermark on pictures. You can use sharpen tool in order to try and improve pictures which are blurry, but don’t expect miracles. Resizing pictures is very useful if you need to change their size for sending over emails and so on. A lot of useful things can be done with this little application, let’s see how exactly it works. Using ZoomFX to edit imagesSince ZoomFX has so many options, we can’t talk about them all, so we’re just gonna focus on the basics, how to resize images. You can resize images by left clicking on the Resize option on the left side of the window from the Available actions list, and clicking on the green arrow to put the action on the right side where the Todo list is located. Doing that will make the following window pop up: This is where you specify the desired changes that you want to see on the image which is being resized. Also take note of the Output settings in the background where you can adjust what kind of size the output images will have. Once you’re done fiddling with settings, find the images that you want to convert and simply drag and drop them to the lower part of the window, where it’s written with the large letters to drag and drop ;). Once the images are placed there program will automatically start making the changes, and they will start appearing in the same folder where the old images were. Another thing that’s great about ZoomFX would be that it has settings templates, for example it has Imageshack template where it resizes and uploads images automatically, but it didn’t work for us, we didn’t get links after the upload. In any case ZoomFX is a great tool, with a lot of options, make sure to check it out. No related posts.
