How to use this automation software?

On launching the program for the first time, you are required to choose your default language. When the program actually launches, it minimises to tray. The automation software can be accessed by single click on the tray icon. Right clicking on the tray icon gives you access to program settings and the main window. Program settings can be accessed via the Settings button or by right clicking the tray icon. The settings menu allows you to view edit and modify system settings like hotkeys, keyboard and mouse options, and edit macro toolbar options. Macros can be added from the system clipboard by clicking the Add Clipboard Macro button. This pastes content from the clipboard to the Clipboard Macro tab. To complete adding the macros, edit properties and triggers. You can delete any of the listed macros using the Delete button.

Macros can also be added by recording mouse and keyboard events. To record macros, click on the Record New Macros button. Select which events should be captured and click Record Now button. The program immediately minimises to tray and starts recording. Managing multiple works, and to complete them on time is quiet an onerous task. KanbanFlow helps you to handle all this kind of problem in a simple and systematic way. KanbanFlow is a web based application with which you can create a list of things to do and manage them accordingly. This task manager service is free of cost, and the only requirement is to create an account on KanbanFlow website. A timer is also provided for tasks, which are to be done urgently or completed within a deadline, which is named as Pomodoro timer. KanbanFlow is very easy to use, and implements the drag and drop facility.

As I have already discussed that KanbanFlow is a web based application, which in other words means that it is not a software, which needs to be installed on the system. Just go the KanbanFlow website and complete the registration process, and start using their service. The registration process is very simple and requires only email address and password. After the completion of the registration process, you will get your own personalised board where tasks need to be provided, which you want to manage in an easier way.

1) Add task: To add a task on the board you need to click on the plus (+) icon and a window will appear on your screen.

Name the task, describe it, select a colour and fill all other important columns and you are done. You can also add subtasks, which are very common in everybody’s working life. You can also move a particular task to the right hand side. For example, from To-do you can move it to Do Today. This can be achieved with the help of right click on the mouse, and then click on the Move Right (same method is applied when you want to move the task to the left hand side). Moving the board to another board can also be done with the right click of the mouse and then go to Copy/Move, from where you can move or copy the board.

2) Delete: To delete a particular task from the board right click on the particular task, which you want to delete. After that click on the delete option. You can also edit the particular task and change the colour in the same way.

3) Pomodoro timer: this is an interesting feature of KanbanFlow. Using this timer you can set the timer which is different from the Add task feature of Time estimate and Time spent. Looking at the bottom left corner, you will be able to see a button for Pomodoro timer click on the timer to use it.

From here, you can select the particular task, which is present on your task board. Just click on the task which is present on the board and you will notice that the task is added automatically to the Pomodoro timer. After that, click on the start button. To see the statistics about you and your team, you can click on the Statistics icon. Points are distributed for each completed task.

Conclusion:

Overall, this is really nice web based task manager application. The user interface is easy to use and for any problem a help section is provided at the bottom right corner from where you can clear your doubts. Adding tasks, managing them and editing them are done in a simple manner. You can also print out the sheet from the KanbanFlow website. DuckCapture is a free screen capture software. DuckCapture allows you to capture a window on your screen, a section of your screen and even a whole webpage that scrolls. DuckCapture also allows you to edit images by adding annotations, informative text or change the captured area.

How to use it

Installation went on with no issues. The interface is simple and very well-arranged. Icons are well labelled and all have tooltips. The program starts up with windows and minimises to tray.

To capture images, double-click on the tray icon. The Region button captures a small region of the screen while the polygon capture allows you to plot a polygon with your mouse and capture the area enclosed by the polygon. The window option locates open windows and highlights them ready for capture. The scrolling option is particularly useful for capturing webpages which scroll down over several pages. The full screen option captures the whole screen. On selecting the region option the program opens a new interface which allows you to add more captures areas, draw annotations, save and print or cancel and discard changes.

To capture a polygon, you need to plot several points on the interface. After completing the polygon, right-click to stop plotting and capture the section you selected. Once you have captured an image you have the option of adding more capture areas, drawing annotations, saving the image, printing and even placing the image on the system clipboard for later use.

To capture windows, click on the Window button. The program minimises and immediately begins to search for open windows. Use your mouse to toggle between windows until you finally have the window you want to capture. Again, you have the same options of saving, discarding, printing, adding annotations or adding more images. The full screen capture allows users to capture the whole screen instantaneously. This however has three options, saving to clipboard, saving to file or cancelling and discarding changes.

Program settings can be accessed by clicking on the Advanced Options button. On the General tab, you can choose various window options. You can set a default destination folder and file types for images captured on the Output File tab. The Keyboard tab allows you to enable hot keys for Region, Window, Scrolling and Full Screen capture modes. Help can be accessed by visiting the products homepage, writing an email to the developers or by registering any bugs or issues on Fogbugz.com.

Opinion

The program is very light and very easy to use. The scroll feature is a great addition and literally sets it apart from the competition. Keyboard shortcuts make it easy and fast to navigate through the program.

We are quite familiar with the different folder locking software, and one of them is the SysTools Folder Lock. This tool is a little bit different from other folder locking software, as it not only implements a simple lock key procedure, but it also has the capability of locking a folder without providing any password. But that doesn't mean that you can't use the password protection method. SysTools Folder Lock also provides provision for using the one password for all folders. In other words, using a single password you can unlock all the folders without any problem. Another good thing about SysTools Folder Lock is that it is a freeware. This tool is specially developed for Windows platform.

You can use the link given at the bottom for downloading this software. The size of the file is only 1.5MB, and it is an executable file like any other Windows application. It is recommended to scan the software before installing it for safety measure (I scanned the software with Avira and no virus was detected).

Installation:

Just double-click on the executable file, and the installation process will start. Follow the instructions and you will have no problem as it is same as any other installation process in Windows. The software takes about 4.5MB of disk space.

How to use this folder locking tool:

To use the locking facility check on the Folder Locking and click on the Next button. First click on the Add Folder button to assign the folder you want to apply the lock. After choosing that particular folder you can simply press the Lock button. If you want to have a password for that folder then double-click on the password section, and enter the password accordingly and then press the lock button.

To unlock any particular folder open the SysTools Folder Lock application (if you exited from it) and then chose the Folder unlocking and proceed to the next. The unlocking procedure is same as the locking method. Select the folder, and then press the unlock button.

If you have locked the folder using any password you will be prompted to use the password to unlock it.

Conclusion:

SysTools Folder Lock software is very easy and simple to use. It can be installed on various Windows platforms such as Windows XP, Vista and Window 7, and the installation process is also very easy. There are few problems in this software, which I feel will be addressed in the update. While unlocking any password protected folder you need to use the password. After providing the password you must use the OK button as the enter key doesn't work here. On the other hand, while providing password during the process of locking a folder, enter key works. Even for a small-sized folder it takes a lot of time to lock it. But still it is a very good and stable program, and the user interface is also very good, which makes it a good folder locking software.
