How to use This Chemical Simulator Software:

Installation is quite easy. On launching the chemical simulator software, a welcome message greets you. The welcome message contains 5 quick start options you can use to quickly start simulation. The interface is like any typical interface, a menu bar occupies the top, a working area and toolbar dock in the middle and a status bar at the bottom.

The File menu contains the usual open, close, save, save as, print and exit commands. Program settings are accessed via the Settings menu. On the General Settings tab, users can change program language, add both user and Chemp databases, choose persistence options for CAPE-OPEN Unit operation, set messages to go off in case components are removed or at start up, set backup options and add functionality through scripts. The Script menu allows users to write and run custom scripts on the program itself. Scripts can be written in IronRuby, IronPython, JScript and VBScript. The Results menu allows users to generate, view and print inbuilt simulation reports for any types of reactors. The Tools menu lets you access simulation tools like the reactions manager, petroleum characterization and petroleum assay managers.

The working area is an internal window with three tabs, Material Streams, SpreadSheet and FlowSheet. The FlowSheet is used to draw chemical process with the help of inbuilt tools accessible on the Object Pallete. Objects added from the palette can then be modified to suit a user's needs. Some of the items one may modify are the appearance and properties such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, enthalpy and many more. The toolbar on the left contains information like name, type, status and properties of the selected object. The View menu allows users to set which windows they want to view. Options include Console output, calculation queue and CAPE-OPEN object reports.

This chemical simulator software is bundled with a help module which comes in compressed HTML format which I must say was very disappointing as most pages were empty.

Opinion

Great idea and great implementation. As you would expect the program is not what you can call lightweight-it consumes a considerable amount of system resources. For new users, the program is quite too technical and complex and will require some time to get used to. The software simplifies the process of conducting complex, expensive, dangerous or time consuming chemical experiments and reactions. It is a pity that the help provided was very disappointing.

Final Verdict:

DWSIM is a superb and handy chemical simulator tool for a particular group of users but seems too extreme for an ordinary user.

The interface can be resized but needs quite some work as the section below the file list shifts unexpectedly to the left leaving quite a large empty space.

Image files can be added to the list using the Add button. The Delete button removes files from the list one by one while the Clean button removes all files in the list in one go. You are required to enter a destination folder where all files that have been converted are to be stored. Once you have added the files you wish to manipulate, you may continue to select tasks you want to perform on them. The first section of controls contains size and output options. From this section users can choose to resize images, choose to keep image aspect ratio, choose image formats and choose desired sizes. You can also set a suffix to be added to the image filenames. Watermark text can be entered in the watermark text field. You can customize watermark font, font size, font colour, font style and set the specific position the watermark should appear on all images.

The second section of the interface is similar to the first in functionality. The only difference is that it is used to create thumbnails for listed images. To create thumbnails for listed images you need to check the Create Thumbnails checkbox. You can choose to create thumbnails from either the original file or from the output file which may have already been resized and or watermarked. Once you have finished setting up the tasks to be performed, start conversion by clicking the large Launch selected tasks button.

Hot keys are pre-set for all options on the File menu. The Options menu includes most program settings. You can change the language, check for updates, choose whether to enter file details into the log and choose which action to take once conversion is complete. Simple and very easy to use interface. This Photo editing software works perfectly and consumes very minimal resources. Apart from the awkward interface when resized to full screen, I could not find any other issue with the software.

Under the account section, you need to enter Main details and the ID information. You can set the connection related settings using the connection tab. Advanced tab, is used for higher order settings. There is a partition which separates the two connecting portals. You can either connect, edit or abort. The files from your PC are listed on the left hand side, with an explorer view.

FireFTP is probably the best add-on package available with the Mozilla Firefox. This FTP client is very easy to use and very secure to use. Here, are steps to send text SMS from computer using Android phone. We will use an app called Mighty Text for this, and a corresponding extension for Google Chrome. This app lets you synchronize your computer with your Android phone via Gmail. Then this app lets you easily send SMS from computer. While sending SMS, it will route them via SIM card of your Android phone (so, you will be charged by your operator as if you were sending SMS from your Android phone, and receiver will see SMS coming from your phone number).

If then also, you are not able to receive the pop-up of received SMS, then restart your Android phone. Check, if now are able to receive the pop-up message on your computer or not.

If then also, you are unable to receive the pop-up message, then uninstall Go SMS Pro app from your Android phone and check the pop-up on your computer. Windows search tool doesn’t have this type of problems and it managed to find my file just fine, so use it instead until team behind Handy File Tool deals with the programs own search tool.

Find and replace text in a large number of files at once

Replacer is an amazing tool which you can use in order to find a replace text across several different files at once. This feature really does come in handy when you need to find a certain term within several .txt files and replace it with a term of your own. Unlike the search tool, Replacer worked flawlessly, and I managed to change a term in a file and keep the original as backup. To add files to the edit list, you need to locate them either in File browser, which is the first tab, or in the Search tool, if it works for you. Right click on the file and select Send to basket. File is then on the list and can be searched by the program in order to find and replace text en masse.

Mass file name and extension changer

Changing file names for a large number of files can be tiresome, but with File Handy it’s not. Renamer tool can load a large number of files and rename them all. It doesn’t offer to rename each file individually, it creates name patterns which are then used on all the file names AND their extensions.

Handy File Tool is a great file manager, which can be improved, search function definitely, and it would be great if file Renamer was able to change file names individually, instead of applying the same pattern on all of them, maybe in future versions.
